open slather...VENTING , CRAP WEEK

Post by steptoe » Fri Aug 28, 2009 2:12 pm

I know I am not the only one to have things go wrong this week. Where are the girrls and their stars. I am considered to be a fish. Mate, first the turbo L Series gets a spike or surge of somesort and has disabled my little red rocket, blown fuses, light bulbs and my road angel. At lunch time my red BRumby suddenly died in the traffic. No spark at spark lead or coil lead. Cap looks OK, then got in and it started. Got it home to rest it, thinking I will just get me white BWumby going and I could swear the clutch was fine last time it was driven a year ago. Just driveable ..... EDIT pivots may have rusted up in pressure plate, seems to have fred up

Sounds like my day today, I was tuning my weber again as it was running rich again.. . :-( Took it for a test drive with the meter and i came back into my parents place and i hear a metalic sound coming from the engine, and investigate to find the weber has decide to eat one of the washer and almost eat one of the studs holding the air filter on. After saying a few choice words i look up to notice both inner CV Boots are blown.... After a days work pulling a head off, it now is kind of running without any metallic sounds, but still two blown CV boots.... :-(

Well you know that old saying rings true:

"If it's got t*ts or tyres it will give you trouble".

I noticed a new post and thought it must have been the new car sales womanager at an un-named dealership lodging her claim. I am sure the poo magnet shifted right there at lunchtime today. I am at parts counter and suddenly BANG, loked round expecting to see workshop staff had missed the doorway. No, a little further was a shrunken violet at the wheel of some stock, lets just say it was an Impreza of some sort sitting back a little from the rear of another stock item, looked like a top of the line Lib wagon of some sort (not good with new car detail am I?) Can you still start an Impreza in gear? It was a bigger BANG than that, high heels caught in pedal perhaps? Don't think anyone will care too much as the cars did not have much indication of ownership (don't recall seeing any plates) If it is any consolation to her, my eyes would have welled up just as quick and don't think they would have held up until I got to the back room to have a really good cry.......

Suby Roo, it was right about the time you posted above about t8ts n wheels.
