Post by AlpineRaven » Fri Jun 26, 2009 7:34 pm

G'day guys,
Just curious, These dual range forester boxes are there any 4.11/4.44 final drive ratios? If there is - which models are they?
Cheers

there definately are - that's the box i'll be getting. the first series has the 4.11 (non turbos of course - turbos are single range). the 2.5L has the better gear ratios imo. every now and then one comes up on ebay

Im pretty sure that the early model Foresters had a 3.9:1 final drive only the turbo's had the 4.11 and only when they went to the larger body and 2.5 did they come with a 4.11 final drive.

Yeah i know the early 2.0l Foresters had the 1.42:1 low range and the 3.9:1 final drive but i dont know weather that was for the entire life of that model. But definately all the 2.5s are 4.11 with 1.15 low
