Not with the tyre on Point.
The 2nd pic in post #770 shows the shock and hub in the full droop position even though it's only mocked up.

Sure is Bryan and congratulations to you and Bec.
I'm still using the factory rubber bumpstops which will hit first, and then the shocks have internal hydraulic bumpstops to protect them from bottoming out.
If that isn't enough I can mount some Fox or King hydraulic bumpstops as well but I think that would be overkill.

Will there be anything stopping mud and rocks from flying up through the holes where the shocks come through the tray?

Bit of a risk to you guys in the cabin, and to your radiator

We'll have to wait and see how much terrrain gets thrown up into the ute bed. I don't think it'll be as bad as you guys think. I cut out the floor to suit twin shocks before deciding I only needed one. I can always close up the gaps if I have to.

Now that the shock mounts are all done I can build the bumpstop stops. I delibrately ran the trailing arms past the factory bumpstops so that I could build the stops on the side of the arms where I wanted them, and it's easier to cut and adjust them if nessessary.
Image

I'm using the factory rear brake hoses until I get to a brake shop and then I'll run a hard line to the rear of the arm and a much shorter hose. But this will do for now.
Image

I've settled on 23 spline inner and outer DOJs for the back driveshafts. Subaru never made a 23 spline rear driveshart with DOJs on both ends so I'm getting new ones custom made. In the meantime I've mocked up these shafts using 4 front shafts cut and welded together to get mobile.

I've changed the routing of the handbrake cables so they're not under the car. I welded a patch over the big hole in the tunnel and moved the handbrake lever back about 4".
Image

They now run through the rear firewall.

Rear shocks are in and radiator is back in.

Yes, it's mobile again. The new rear end is working very well and the new shocks have transformed the ride more than I can describe. We had our first hot test run on Tuesday when a rock punched through one of the rear tyres and then on our second drive the sidewall got ripped out of another rear tyre. I don't know what caused the sudden failure in MTRs after never before having a problem but we switched to the 16" Bridgestone rally tyres and have had no more troubles. Late on Tuesday Wilbur got some footage at a creek crossing and I will try and get that onto utube. I was away for the rest of the week but we had a good long run yesterday afternoon and everything worked well. I think there might be an issue with the speed limiter as it won't rev past 5,500 in top gear (speedo is not working)?

Simply awesome, especially the work done on the rear suspension

I wonder what the engineers at Subaru in the 80's would say if they saw what you have done to their Brumby

Your getting to 5500rpm in top gear? What speed are you doing?
