I hope this is the case, I'm extremely careful when I open doors on the street/road side, as I believe the driver has right of way. So, as if I'm a pedestrian I let them go through.

And when I'm driving, it annoys the bonkers out of me when people open doors in front of me, completely unaware of the hazard they've just caused meaning I have to alter my driving line.

Not saying Zita's in the wrong there chubby, obviously every incident is different. I'd just like it to be thought of showing courtesy towards the driver.;)

...And awesome work with that new door!

Heh don't tell that fact to too many people...I can see some people who hate having to drive around people who's doors have been left open and get annoyed but it, purposely aiming to smash the door off now! After all it's not going to be their fault!

Good work on the repairs, looks like it'll be done in no time.

Bloody lucky that was all that happened! I've always imagined ripping a door open like that causing more damage to the pillar and door hinges, almost irrepairable damage...

Good workmanship on the replacement!

What was the damage of the offending vehicle?

Cheers

Watched a police man nearly do that Because unlike him I was using my mirror,

We were both just overtaking a truck (He was unmarked) where he foolishly sat behind me doing so and couldn't see the 4x4 coming the other way until after I had pulled back in. The truck driver then had to slow down to let him back in Which aggravated the truck driver so when we got 500m down the road on come the red and blue lights So we pulled over and the officer opened the door just as the truck we had over taken was going past! Im not sure if he lined up the door but he only just missed it, Needless to say I had to face a very Irate policeman even more so when I blew a negative RBT reading and hadn't been speeding!
Two simple mistakes that I wouldn't have expected from a professional driver although in his defence He would have been on his way back to the station at the end of the day!

92 targa brumby (weekend runabout),

90 model liberty (was to be scrapped instead sold to workmate)
