Coils packs RS Ej20t
Car: Gx conversion, lifted for offroad use.
Problem: when going offroad and driving in water or even hosing under the bonnet toe clean the coil packs get wet and the car runs like sh!t for a few days until all the moisture is gone. i replaced the coils about 12 months ago and this problem was fixed or a short time.
possible fix and question?? short of putting in something like Bosch coils packs to get them up high and away from water, dont the WRX's have one coil on top of the motor then 4 leads down to the plugs? similar to and ej22? could this be made to suit an RS motor or plug straight in?
any help is appreciated.
cheers
bryan

His has a coil on each plug. Look for another solution as the one you want to do is not a simple job. In fact I don't think it could be done with your wiring loom and computer. I have been thinking about it on and off since you posted this morning and I can't see any way around it.
Look for newer/better coils for yours. Check that all your terminals are water proof. Make sure your ignitor is not getting wet (in behind your boost control). The motors I have had I could run under water I reckon.

Byron,
Use some dialectic grease on the spark plug shaft. This helps it seal & keep water out of the coil pack....
Subaru I do believe sell just the rubber boot that is on the end of the coil.
Check the plug end on the harness. I had issues on my Liberty where the insulation would 'crack' off around the plug end. Add water & it would miss fire big time.
