just a thought is there any similaritys in a centre dif lock and a rear diff.

If you're thinking of shoe-horning a lockable centre diff into a rear diff carrier it will not work without massive re-engineering of both the centre diff and the casing... That goes the same for an air locker out back, as good as it would be. If you could work that out and make it reliable you'd be rolling in it!

Nice try though.
If you want good drive from both rear wheels, get a clutch type LSD.
