EA82T TPS how many different ones??
The TPS I have on board has just three pins coming out the top of it. Same also for the one I am tinkering with, then there is one on my spare motor . Not only does it have the 3 pins at the top end, there is a white connector coming out the front side of it with a red, black and white in it. Is this a 4 plug ECU TPS and is it interchangeable? and work on a 3 plug?

Yes the one with the white plug is that of a 4 plug ECU. (the one with the white plug goes to the throttle position sensor potentiometer)
Physically it is interchangeable, but it lacks the switch contacts at mid throttle that the 3 plug throttle switch has.
The 4 plug throttle switch only closes at idle.

What are your plans with this motor?
If you plan on running factory engine management, upgrade to 4 plug.
Get a wiring loom from an MPFI touring wagon, and an optical dizzy, and you can then run the 4 plug ecu, which is an improvement over the 3 plug cos of its faster cpu and electronic ignition timing

Gotta test it first ! Been sitting on the shed floor since my nieces second birthday and she starts high school soon! [well, in 2017 anyway!!], so time to test it and hoard it Then it will be a spare for my planned NO ECU LPG Brumby so all I need is for TPS to switch my EGR off at idle through my relay set up
