Howdy from Japan

Post by vincentvega » Thu Jan 01, 2009 9:40 pm

konichiwa subaru nuts

having a ball here but so far - disappointed! bugger all subies, nowhere near as many as new zealand.

Some cool ones I have seen though, 04ish STI with semi slicks and a cage, 99ish STI rally car full cage, rally flaps, and massively dented sills. Seen a few foresters and outbacks, but the most common car is gen2 and 3 GTB wagons. very nice...

Saw a Gen3 Bsport wagon today that looked very cool. never heard of that one before. They also have a 2L forester X here, they call it the X20

So far I have been in Osaka and Kyoto, off to tokyo next week so I am sure to see some more there.

sounds like your having a good time over, hope you had some drinks last night for New Year. We all did, some had more than others.

Keep spotting SUBYS so you can tell us about them you get back. Have fun.

Rik.

more subies today. been on bikes around Kyoto the last few days and this evening my mrs came very close to having the pleasure of being hit by a purple gen3 GTB speeding down a back alley ;)

I had forgotten how good the TTs sound with a decent exhaust. Seen a heap of them today and they all sound unreal. havnt seen a single Gen1 yet but everything else is covered.

Will be in tokyo in a few days time. Looking forward to seeing some more there.
