Brumby Steering Wheel

Post by rubisubi » Thu Nov 20, 2008 11:59 am

Hey guys, im looking at getting an aftermarket steering wheel for the Brumby seeing as though the original one is quite worn. Do i need to get a boss kit or will the aftermarket wheel bolt straight on. If so any particular boss brand i should be asking for. Also, is the horn a nuisance or is that a simple wire up. i changed the wheel before on other cars only to find the horns never work.

Cheers RubiSubi.

yes youll need a boss kit. Get a saas one, the autotechnica ones dont fit well. Even better, get a momo one, if you can find it and if youre willing to fork out the rediculous price tag.

horn is piss easy to wire up too, litterally afew spade plugs and youre cooking!

i'm considering, can anyone who has changed steering wheels post some pictures, from straight in front as to show what the dials look like from a driver would be good.

Because of the boss depth does the wheel protrude closer to the driver?

i've got a brand new grey brumby steering wheel that i could be persuaded to part with if you made me an offer... have to show you a photo of it though as i'm unsure exactly what subaru it comes off (it was dead stock at a subaru dealer i worked for)
