Post by LTurbo » Tue Nov 11, 2008 12:51 pm

Does anyone know if the part numbers are different for EA82 and EA82T replacement head gaskets?
Cheers

Wierd:confused:, the FSM says the head gasket for the turbo version uses a carbon sheet, and the n/a versions a silicon-coated asbestos.

But I can only find a part number for N/A engines (e.g. BN550MT). I guess the materials they use these days a suitable for both?

I recognise the 550 part number as coming off EA82T's.

Think I have seen a listing for the turbo variant being different

Has anyone got a good recommended brand and type of head gasket for the EA82T.

I am thinking just to go along to Subaru and get just two head gaskets for EA82T, surely there has to be better?

You may get a different number for efi difference being DN561 but set contains same head gasket the 550

i just used 2 BN550's on my EA82T. supplied by justin aka xtreme_rx (one of them, 1 from repco), so i'm sure he'd have the right part number
