Why do people list cars that they have owned in their Signature line?

Go wild here with what ever takes your fancy ...

Ehh whatever. If I want an easier to read forum with less junk I'll go to ultimatesubaru, I understand now why they limited their sigs and then got rid of them all together.
Ok because this has turned into a "What I've owned and own" thread.... I'm lagging behind a few people, still only 21

89 Brumby
89 Liberty
81 Range Rover
83 MQ Patrol
8? Suzuki 800 hatch
79 Mercedes 450SEL

And why not bikes too
80 XT250
81 XT250
94 YZ250
91 TT350
BTW I like Suzuki's, just only ever owned Yams
Owned - 89 Brumby, 83 Wagon, 83 Leone 4WD Sedan, 83 Touring Wagon, 99 Outback

Got me to thinking about what I have owned. What I can remember of cars I have had on the road, not counting parts cars. No doubt I have forgotten some in there some where.

Subaru

Renault 12

Bikes
Honda XL 100
Honda XR 250
YZ 80
RM 80
RM 250
185 AG bike

BTW, this board seems quite simple to read to me and the signatures give it all some character. Some sig pics get a little big for people on dial up but in this day and age you are a minority if you don't have adsl or better so it really isn't an issue any more.

If you look at some of the sigs there has been a fair bit of work, thought and effort gone in to them.

Cars
MY wagon
Silver RX Turbo
RS lib mock up
Hilux
Wrx

Bikes
Victa 160 powered thingy
XL100
AE80
Big break while I raced mountain bikes
WR450

MY is rusting away at the folks place, Silver RX is around here somewhere apparently. RS lib mock is owned by a co-workers brother and is for sale again. Hilux is at home sleeping, Wrx is in the carpark.

Victa bike is in the hay shed, no idea what happened to the middle two, last one is at home in the shed.

Work cars would take way too long, plus I can't remember them all. It would be something between Hyundai excels to XR6/8 SS commodores to patrols and landcruisers. Even a supercharged Merc.

So what we get out of this is, BYB does know a thing or two about subes and lifting them.

Believe it or not there is a limit to the characters you can have in your sig :(
Also with some peoples it seems to not be limited.
I don't mind the pictures, even the largeish ones. Its the rows and rows of text of cars that people don't even own that I see no point for.
Sure, I'm happy for you to put the cars you currently own in there, I just don't see a reason for having previous ones in there.

Either that or Brett has brought real bangers and passed them on quickly :p only joking bud ;) but I must say, that is quiet impressive and lots of good memories I bet? Brett, Did you happen to get pictures of all of them?

I have got pictures of pretty well all of them but a lot of the pics aren't digital.

I have got a few photo albums I get out every now and then at our annual BBQs and let people look at the variety.

Holy crap Brett, Im staggered over all those cars you've owned.
You dont own a car sales yard do you? LOL

The scary thing is, he owned alot of these in the first 10 years of having a licence.
No not a sale yard. He gets itchy feet, it use to be a nearly every 6 months he would buy a new car. He buys, does some mods, get's it to a stage that you think no more work on it, and he sells it, and starts all over again.
Or he buys, with alot of ideas for it, and gets distracted with some thing else..

I know it was one of mine. I cried when it left, it had alot of memories go with it. We spent so more blood, sweat and tears on that car. I was tempted to fly over to W.A when I heard it was up for sale.

Cars I miss the most are the orange one, the pig (my sedan), black RX, the white RS (stolen) and the last Vortex. I'd have any one of them back in a flash.

Maybe I should build a new favorite?
