Why bother....?

Post by rocky631689 » Sat Sep 13, 2008 8:50 pm

.....Washing your car?? I mean, really....

Got up early today, sun was shinning brightly, so thought I'd treat the RS to a little wash & clean. Literally just as I finished drying it off, the bloody sky opened up and the rain fell! So, put the car in to garage, and dried it off (again!). Hoovered it out, cleaned windows, job done.

Feeling pleased with the results, and wanting to take a few pictures of my pride n joy, stuck it outside again for 2 minutes....only for a bird to crap on it....followed by more rain! Giving up, I washed the poo off, then the mrs and I went out.

Parking up in a quite carpark, away from everything, everyone, we went shopping. Came back out 20 minutes later to find someone had scrapped down the front fender & door - not hard, but enough to leave some pretty deep marks in the paintwork  Looked like it has been done with the zipper on someones coat/jacket....lots of little, straight, marks close together but fairly deep.

Fortunately, when purchasing the car, I opted for the titanium defense pack which definately helped protect the paintwork from more serious damage. A little bit of polish and a lot of elbow grease has gotten rid of the marks - but really?? Guess I shouldn't waste my $$$ on the lottery tonight - my luck just isn't in!

I know it's only a car - I keep telling myself "It's just a car!" but I just wished people would have a little more respect for other peoples property.....and as for that bird! LOL!

Well, gonna go cook dinner now - think I'll put the fire brigade on standby! LOL!
