Subarus mysterious foney screw!

Post by nncoolg » Fri Sep 05, 2008 6:28 pm

The EA82T flap AFMS had a bypass screw, so when the hot wire equipped vortex was idling rich i thought "yep, I know what to do here..."

Turning the screw around 72 times, I figured something wasnt right here, so pulled the top off the AFM and to my surprise it was a dummy screw!! just put there to annoy me!!

GRRR!

That screw is a bit of an oddity as some where actually connected to a pot and others where like yours ornamental. Early Liberty AFMs had a similar screw with the same thing i have one with the screw that functions and one that looks good but thats it.
