Oz V's USA price on genuine part comparo

Post by steptoe » Wed Sep 03, 2008 8:47 am

Testing out bigfellas experience with his BMW price differences between USA and here, adding a zero to some parts here compared to USA

Price on the vacuum advance / boost retard unit on the dizzy of a 3 plug ecu of EA82T 22301AA110 (thanks FROG)

PS if you have EA82T with this dizzy does yours work ? I have three cannisters, two can hold no vacumm or pressure, the other lets go at 4 or 5 pounds of boost

Genuine part number and price $280 not in stock in Australia - ex Japan with about two week wait, giving me time to ebay my left testicle ;)

I emailed a Subaru dealer in Denver Colorado - mikeshawsubaru who is close to the buying agent for priceusa (thanks bobbyjimmy)

the reply in less than 24 hours comes through at US$250 plus state taxes that apply if sold to person in same state - in stock somewhere within Subaru US 4 days delay

Add the drop of value in the oz dollar to US dollar, plus postage you'd be about the same as the unit form japan with exception to how long you'd have to wait.

I guess if its a new unit in storage it would be justifiable.

Cheers
