what the...? ebay pre-approved ??

the other day I went to 'buy it now' and got a message telling me I needed to be pre-approved to buy or bid. It suggested I send a question to the seller and ask to be pre-approved. I did so. Next day. Nothing. So I sent a detailed text to its contact number. Next day - nothing. So then i ring the landline only to be cut off by a robot telling me I am not approved - goodbye. I ring the mobile number I sent text to and left a message. Next day no reply and no action and now item has closed. My experience would suggest ebay needs a rocket for even offering such a redickuless service such as preapproved in the first place !!

I haven't encountered that before. Was it an international transaction? I'd email eBay and tell/ask them about the situation.

I believe eBay has lost the plot in the last year or so. I, personally, have noticed a MAJOR drop in Subaru stuff for sale on there.
