i was thinking about it while i was doodling about my offroad beast that im collecting parts for
why hasent it been done? or even tried?
i might draw one up if i get the chance, need to work out where i can place it, will have to be above the gearbox about mid point with the lower mounted to the g/b and cut the inner wheel well out

And won't have half the travel because it'll be too short.............Unless you have the wheels outside the body.

unless you are going to stick the wheels way outside the body there isn't room.
i had a look and did some napkins on my day off. The only way it can be done is by cutting most of the original car away such as the inner guards and the rails.
