Not same if they have different numbers, but may just work both locations with either hose :)

The spfi is single port - is wjhat Tony has on Tweetys' EA81
I haven't got pics yet, but is plenty about the web, but seeing as you have done so for me and many, will get some up and on show sometime. Mine is a little bare at the moment. The outer diameter of the log is noticably fatter than EA81, possibly EA82 carb as well. yes, was thinking water volume a good measure. Was also thinking hook up LPG and squirt it through the injector but I'd need an ECU and a MAF, so dedicated it stays :)

Just hoping to stack the 125 or maybe the 100 on top, if not it is ducting work to be done

I guess if they have different part numbers then they must be different but I want you to try one on a stocko EA82 setup.

Ok.. I have seen these SPFI manifolds but didn't realize the shape was different.

Here's one I found if someone wants one.. must have a really good friend in the US that will send it to you...

Keep it simple Jonno.. will be awesome

they are fatter, their Hitachi throttle body bolt pattern differs from mpfi and spider as well - to avoid confusion at assembly plant.
Nice find, ebay didn't do it for me.

How hard is it for them to send beyond the US - fill out a form once paypal has come through and they are done.

$100 and only the manifold - useless junk. I'd love to get that for an mpfi inlet manifold or three :)

Yeah, I can see them being different to the spider manifold, as that's a breed of it's own.

It's probably having to fill out customs paperwork that most don't want to deal with. It's not that hard but unless you've done it, it's always too hard :)

Wouldn't it be better to use the EFI heads and manifold (without all the fuel crap) for your setup?

EA82 efi manifold and heads won't fit too neatly on an EA81 block - besides, my HGs are resting in Grayland :( . I have another project you may be confusing with - the EA82 carb block, turbo heads, cam and inlet manifold with everything plugged up efi related

And for one final ? in my tiny brain - bottom hose for the EA82 in MY with MY radiator

??

clue ??

water pumps are different between EA81 and EA82, 82 has the metal transfer pipe, 81 just hose direct to water pump

My guess is use L series lower hose ?

Well, no genius amongst us here with a single hose that does the job ??

Gonna sit down with a Mackay naster catalogue one day .....

30mm ID yet the metal pipe from the pump is about 28.5mm OD ??

Just by chance I came across an abandoned Camry a few years back, and in the boot were a set of spare hoses - thought they'd come in handy for this conversion in the future.

How right was I ?

CH1620 Mackay part number
OEM # 1657232020A

Bottom hose for Holden badged Toyotas Apollo JK, JL 2.0
Camry 1.8 & 2.0
About 1992 era

has a true 90 degree in it that is not a long sweeping bend, cut it out, matched it up with a bit of a subie hose, joined with a cut off thermo housing pipe bit and off to find something likely similar. Ended up getting another CH1620 to chop its nice bend out and hope to join it with a sensor adaptor joiner once it arrives from China $4.85 posted

$16 for the hose Australian Made , times 2. I reckon they get the price from first two part numbers :)

As for the difference between where EA82 heater hoses come off engine and where MY heater tap is - the two hoses I picked out were excellent for their bends for both hoses

CH1687 is a heater hose for Vc, VL V8 Commodores , CH2041 is for VS V6 Commodore

one has heaps of bends, cut some off, the other is a short right angle bend to get water from the inlet manifold of mpfi anyway and bends immediately and clears the front of the starter solenoid.
All helping to make the EA82 look factory in the MY :)
