STINGER ECU EA82T to EJ20T

Post by subybrumby » Wed Mar 03, 2010 6:34 pm

Just fielding a general question...

I have a brumby with an EA82T running off a Stinger ECU..

If I were to go to an EJ20T, would the stinger harness be able to be used for that application or would I have to rip the bloody lot out and start again..???

Any thoughts??

Most of it will be the same. Injectors, TPS, coolant sensor, knock sensor, AFM etc.

The distributor wiring will need to be changed to suit the wasted spark coils. Cam and crank position sensors will need to be added, as will the MAP sensor and the boost control solenoid.

Are you getting a bare engine, or a front cut?

Uhm, probably just the engine..looking long term, was gonna slowly do up an EJ20T then do the change down the track when it was ready and the time was right. I'm not in a hurry at the moment but wouldn't say no to a front cut if one came up, right time, right price, right place. Thanks for the info.
