There are many many reason why im not running the lib box.... and im far from wanting to have the car off the road for that long and spending that sort of money at this stage. Maybe later down the track.

Yeah im begining to think it is the clutch physcailly fallen apart although after adjusting it works fine... weird.. I could not decifer anything else u said... maybe it is in code or u had too many crownies.

Thanks OS

why does everyone pull the engine to do the clutch on here? i have been brought up to pull the box out, i find it alot easier, well at least with a hoist. though when we did the manual convert in my cousins commo on the floor it wasnt too bad.

Not sure on either OS. I don't belive so with the Lib clutch fitting.

Brumby Boy... if the car had the standard box and engine then i wouldn't pull the engine... actually if it was the stock motor it would only take about an hour to pull the motor and put it back in anyhows.

I have an EJ22 in an ea81 engine bay... gives me about 10mm at best clearance on either side and the front.... i can't even move the box back far enough to slide it off the input shaft. Thats why i remove the motor... turns out much much easier.

Hatchie can drive all the way out of my driveway and up the street, possibly further than that as Dave didn't walk back here afterwards.

Yeah hatchie is all good now... just need time to tindy up the engine bay a bit and add some of the bash plates and splash guards back on.

Yes it was the fork as i began to expect although it was much more stuffed than i had imagines... i will post pics when i have time.

Also i found that one of my gear box mounts is actually not functioning at all so i will have to give that some attention also.

Yes i did.... but it's not exactly a part that is meant to wear out... or a part that can be purchased easily new. I also looked into getting the old fork strengthened before i put it in but it could not be welded for some reason.

Shit happens.

I have seen it happen on one other car running the same clutch set up.... if it goes through another one i will have to re think my clutch/box options.

In saying that though i have seen one crack from running the stock clutch.

I have seen a few of the release forks crack in similar fashion even with std clutches infront of them. It may be just a result of fatigue accelerated by a heavy clutch.

Well it looked identical... still might have been a slight difference though.

We greased up the cup in it where the pivot ball sits, this might help it last a bit longer!
