Post by Ben » Sun Jul 29, 2007 10:13 pm

Thinking of checking out a local boys converted gx sedan, series 1 w/WRX conversion, FMIC, BOV etc

Anything I should know about beyond normal car stuff?

I would be making sure the factory ECU has been wired in properly if it wasn't from a front cut.

So do a read memory? Or get subaru to do a once over on the car and plug in their select monitor etc?

How can I tell if the correct ecu was used? ie that they didn't just put the engine in there and leave the stock ecu? Or won't that work at all?

wont work at all.

the big difference between a wrx conversion and a standard GT legacy conversion is you have to patch the WRX loom into the GX loom and get it all working. if this has been done well you wont have any issues. if they have botched it i wouldnt wanna buy that car...

ask who did the wiring, and talk to them directly
