Subaru Preferred repairer in SA

Post by Gremlins » Mon Feb 18, 2008 11:21 am

Bent my 06 Impreza on the weekend after a tool in his F100 with big bullbar on the front pulled out infront of me. Front left guard is fairly much written off and bumper etc. Neglible damage to the F100 as the impact was on the bullbar.

I'm now looking for a repairer and wondering if any SA people have had any dealings with Silver's Motor Body repairs in Windsor Gardens? They are apparently a Subaru preferred repairer but I've never heard of them before and am trying to find out if they're any good or not. If anyone can recommend any other repairers in SA I'd also be interested.

I've heard good things about Eblen and Rising Sun.

I'm pretty sure Elbens don't actually do collision repairs anymore - shame, Dario was the workshop manager and a gifted painter

Rising Sun don't do panel work (but everything else)

try 'Stan 'da man', that is, Stan Magias Crash Repiar 08 8364 6554 in Bromptom.

Stan has has worked on all my cars over the years (from old MVs to more modern vehicles).

One man show. Perfectionist. Trustworthy.

Subaru certified only means a deal has been struck between the manufacturer and the shop +/- the insurer...but don't get me started on the insurance & repair industries again(!)

Hey thanks the the info, I just called up Eblens and they are definitely doing repairs so will drop around there tomorrow. A couple of Subaru drivers here at work have also had work done by them and have recommended them.

Sven, thanks for the recommendation of Stan, "perfectionist" is a word I like to see associated with a repairer so I think I'll also swing by him on the way through to see what he has to say about things.
