installing driving light

Post by speedy chickens » Tue Jan 01, 2008 5:44 pm

hi all
i have ran into a problem while installing driving lights to my 07 liberty.
I have mounted the lights and ran the cabling, but when i pulled the plug out of the high beam glob to test what wire ti hook the relay to...
It seems to be negitive switching and from keyon car running to lights on to high beam on the feed on the wiring changes 3 times. Yes 3 times.
key on wire live
lights on wire dead
high beam on wire live.
the only way i can see around this is to install 2 relays, when the high beam is on both contacts will be closed...
help.
is threr another way/tapping somewhere?
thanks
speedy

Did I miss something here or did you answer your own question?:confused:

It's been a while since I wired up mine in my 1992 Liberty but from memory it was the same, one relay will do, I think it was the top wire used for switching the relay. See what others say.

Bring it on with the parkers. But have a switch so you can turn them off

Surely someone else has wired up driving lights in a Liberty and can confirm or refute my thoughts?
