EJ Temp Senders with MY or L dashs.

Post by Matatak » Wed Dec 12, 2007 10:20 pm

so i no they usually read wrong in the MY and L series Analogue Dashes.
instead of normal operating temp being like 1/2 it goes down to like 1/4 coz of the EJ sender.

im more curious on the MY Digital Dash tho as mine seems to read fine and the same as wt the old motor did. so want to no if ne1 can confirm it for me.

i do beleive there is nothign wrong with my cooling system and it is practically all new parts so it is not "running Hot" all the time.

im gonna purchase an Aftermarket guage to tell me wt actual temp it runs at for my curiousity but just wanna no if ne1 can shed some light on this

I belive there are a few different senders/gauges on MY models. For example i know for a fact the standard MY dashes will read in-correctly when attempting to read an EJ temp sender. However it seams MY touring wagons with the digital dash and Imported models (like my hatch) read perfectly.

Im sure i have told you this before but it appears your after a 2nd opinion here. Also the behaviour of your ECU controlled fan backs this up.
