The New Bumby 08!

Post by Bumpty » Sat Nov 10, 2007 12:53 pm

hehe, nah not really.
But now I have your attention, where did the Brumby disappear to?
or not knowing the Subaru range all that well, is there a replacement for it?

Heres someone's view on another forum or what the new Brumby could be... why not?

The replacement is (was) only sold in the US afaik, and is a cut-down Outback. It's called a Baja.

Ah so thats where Holden got their ideas from concerning the Crewman...
It sucks its only in the US, so is the Beja the only ute like vehicle in the Subaru line up?

It was, yes. They stopped production in 2006, and sold the last of them off a few months back (LOTS of unsold models). I saw one in California earlier this year, it looks a bit ungainly from the back and there isn't much storage space. Definitely doesn't have the lines of the Brumby...

It was made in the US at a joint Isuzu-Subaru plant, which now makes Toyota Camry's for the US market oddly enough...

Dean.
