Post by fredsub » Tue Feb 20, 2007 9:06 am

just what is the identifying features btw GEN2 and GEN3 ( Outback)

is it just the manufacture date of 10/98 ? so 5/98 is definitely gen2 -
thought it was 11/98,but nah, that is when it was delivered to the 1st owner!

any other features/differences to distinguish the 2?

Technically the Outbacks are a generation behind the Liberties because they didn't start until the Gen2 Liberty but the classification generally follows the liberty generations:
Gen 2

Gen 3

Gen 4

The most obvious difference between Gen 1 & 2 is where the hump in the roof starts, Gen 2 is much further forward, other than that most parts are interchangable.
