insurance cover for lifts?

do i have to declare to my insurance company about my lift kit? or can i just get away with it?

If you tell them then expect them to decline your application. Insurance companys don't like lift kits. MOST people with lift kits have not got insurance.

With some people with the higher modified subies like mine... it is impossible to get any insurance at all with anyone.

if your car is already has insurance id let them otherwise if ya have a accident they can decline your claim if your car has mods that they dont no about...id just tell them that you have fitted heavy duty suspension to the vehicle and see what they say....even if you change wheel size you should let them no...

my ute is insured with suncorp as are all 3 of my cousins commadores anhe hasnt had a problem with and they know about the lift kit in my ute. my old ute was with elders and i will NEVER EVER use them again they F#ked my around big time, enough for mums car and dads company cars to have been taken off them and changed to other insurers

ive got an oppurtunity to tell em bout mine as i need to call them about an accident that happened like 6mths ago, id almost forgot about it but shit now i have to pay :(
