MY and L-series alternators

hi all,

i went to the wreckers and got an alternator which is apparantly for a ea82...pissy small thing...

just curious as to whether MY and l-series alternators are the same!?

Early MY were 50amp, later MY were 55amp and Lseries were 60amp. You wont know unless the sticker is still on it. 60 amp were the LR 160-137 and LR 160-138.
If it can't be cut, welded or re-machined, you probably don't need it.
