Post by maddog » Fri Jun 30, 2006 8:26 pm

88 L Series Touring Wagon - Can anyone tell me which signal wire to use when wiring up my auxiliary Driving Lights so that they only come on with Main Beam?
Thanks. :?

its in your colum plug...the big one....turn key on till dash lights show....use a test light as you turn hi beam on till you find the wire....will only power with hi on.....them hook your wire to it

It's usually easier to find the signal wire from the back of the head light... then there are only as few wires u need to test.

If you pick up the signal from the back of the headlight you use the 2 outer wires as signal wires to the relay. Should you want to make it switchable loop one wire back to a cabin switch.
