Replacement struts - Outback rear

Post by Willie » Fri Jun 30, 2006 11:14 am

A work collegue has a 2000 model Outback 2.5. He has asked me if there are any good aftermarket rear struts for his Outback.

He tows a heavy trailer, but only a couple of times a year. He would like to look at all options as he was a bit surprised at Subaru OME prices.

Any info would be appreciated. Especially if BYB, Subaxtreme, Epic engineering etc do their own struts. Like to be able to direct some business their way where possible.

I'm off on some well earned holidays next week, so if you post I wont be able to check until approx 11 Jul 06. You can e-mail him directly at:

Thanks for your help.

Regards,
Willie.

On my Outback I fitted KYB struts and King springs which are around 20% heavier than OEM. Ride became firmer and I feel are more comfortable (the OEM springs are too soft). My vehicle didn't come with the self levelling suspension.
