Post by H-top » Thu Nov 03, 2011 12:32 pm

G'day all,

well soon it seems I will be getting my second shoulder surgery
in 3 years and need a new car, so it looks like
I'll get an AUTO.....

SVX is top of my list + Boost

how does that sound?

Cheers,

Indeed Toonga!

Ive always liked them, even had the chance to drive one once!

now they can be had for under 5K (just) they are a good start for
a car to mod.

-Im planning to use Megasquirt III as a standalone plus expansion boards for extra
sensor input and drivers.
-Ill use the factore loom to run as much as i can as a plug in and make a seperate loom for the rest.
-I plan to use a TD06 or a T25 running 7 psi ~
-Water methanol injection

all this will begin after i get the basics down

-Seperate large oil cooler
-seperate large Trans cooler
-Alloy Radiator
-Bigger Brakes
-major service work

here is a turbo setup i found on the net, keep in mind its for a left hand drive and i will
have mine reversed

Sounds...like...well...AWESOME

Nothing wrong with a SVX - although they do have an appetite for transmissions if not serviced. And the electric windows can cost a fortune OME.

Once they wind up (yes, they are a very heavy car) they go well. Very nice ride.

There are a couple on rslc which look most tidy.

Pics when it arrives please!

Yes they are heavy guys buuuuuuuut, boost eleviates
that :)
Supra's are very close the that weight and that's why they
have 2JZ's.

I do know of both of those issues Sven and am expecting that.

The auto would be the easiest to fix as they are pretty cheap and
if love to put a front LSD if that happened.

As I am told 4eat's have the same front diff as 5spd's

cheers,
