93' Libert Wagon D/R Gearbox replace

Post by blue23 » Thu Oct 13, 2011 9:56 pm

Hi

I was wondering how easy it is to replace the gearbox in D/R libert wagon? Mine has started slipping in 4th and 5th.

Also im located in canberra does anyone know of a good place to source one close, or does anyone have one that they might be selling?

Also do you have to put a D/R gearbox in? I never use it and have no need for it what so ever.

Any advice is appreciated

Cheers

Umm.. going out on a limb here and saying that if your car is "slipping" in 4th and 5th, then it's more likely to be your clutch that it the problem. I'm sure there would be many places in Canberra that can help you out.

Agreed with Paul, my Liberty used to slip mainly in 4th 5th, very unlikely your gears are slipping or you'd be driving a box of marbles.
