steering wheel mods..what fits and what doesnt?

havent been able to understand the answers i get from the usmb(too old i guess), but want to know what will fit my 86 L series(leone) wagon as far as steering wheels go, and preferably with no kits and mods...i would guess other L series steering wheels would work but i am trying to find one that has the spines at say 3 and 9 o'clock..my 86 has them both down at the bottom and its just not comfortable for me...
