Where to get/buy centre diff lock
Hey all,
didn't really know where to post this but where am I supposed to get my hands on a centre diff lock for an L series, would love the advantage of a locked centre diff but am unsure how to obtain one.
Cheers in advance,
Lincoln

You need to find an elusive L series AWD gearbox that comes with the locking centre diff. You have full time FRONT wheel drive with the advantage of being able to select 4wd when you want it. Most small two wheel drive vehicles don't have a 4wd option... The only advantage to the locked centre for offroading is the fact that you have AWD on road that gives you the better "general every day driving" handlinglincolnthemod wrote:Hey all,

The PT4wd gearboxes don't have a centre diff - just an engaging mechanism that locks the rear end to the drive to the front end, thus the power is shared front and rear.smiles wrote:L series centre diffs are locked when you put them in 4wd...
I'm sure this is for the RXII coupe that australia didn't get - an awesome looking subi in the L series line up. The roots of the WRX in my opinion. Wish I had one, just don't have the $$$$s to import one as they're rarer than rocking horse sh!t in oz...dobo wrote:Is this for all L series or just some?
" The drivetrain featured a 3.70:1 rear Limited Slip Differential as well as a locking center differential and two speed transfer case" pulled from wiki
sorry just trying to learn! :P
Cheers
