Rear disc conversion - Impreza

Post by H-top » Sat Feb 19, 2011 2:18 pm

G'day all,

the missus just got a 96 Impreza sportswagon AWD.

It's got rear drums and I'd like to change them for discs.

What am I going to need?

Backing plates?
Hubs?
Lines?
Rotors?
Pads?
Calipers?
New bearings?

What else?

Will liberty do?

Cheers,
Samuel

Better off getting a complete rear cradle from one with discs, I think you'll find they "might" have different struts too, but it's honestly not worth the effort & I doubt you'd ever notice the difference, I've had a couple of Impreza wagons with rear drums & the brakes were fine.
