snapped clutch cable

last night, new years eve of all great nights to break down... my clutch cable snapped, thats my verdict. went to change gear and my foot just about went thru the floor, the pedal is just floppy now. its an l series with rs turbo running gear. the cable is attatched at the foot pedal and at the gear box so somewhere in the 2 foot of cable there is a break... got no real idea where to start, dad will prob give me a hand. anyone got a spare clutch cable out there?.. or a spare arvo to give me a hand for a decent carton of something!!

I'm sure to have a cable but need to work out some stuff.. i.e. what gearbox is in the car (original or RS)? Where is the car? etc..
