After seeing Gannon's RX Turbo purchase recently, it got me to thinking about my old silver '87 RX. Looked very similar to Gannon's, only pin-stripes an obvious difference.
I bought it as an off roader about 12 years ago and owned it for 5 years. Loved it as an off roader, but to nice to 'destroy' so eventually went back to street trim. We fitted the scoop and top mount intercooler underneath, more boost (as you do), and the even rarer front lip spoiler.
I absolutely loved this car, and still do...
Last I heard after selling it to a mate in Bris, it was shipped to Melbourne, with standard RX engine, but I believe the gearbox was returned to a standard L. Also was in good nick back then !
If anyone knows of it's where-abouts would love to know, maybe even buy it back !!!
