Forester turbo to L

Post by Outback bloke » Sun Sep 20, 2009 1:42 pm

I am doing another conversion over the next week or so for a young fella down the coast. I am fitting a JDM GT forester cut to his L along with the gearbox. I know this sort of conversion has been done heaps in the past but is any one interested in me showing pics and stuff while I am at it?

Of course! The more writeups on this stuff the better :) It will be good to follow a later model frontcut conversion like this one, the early RS frontcut are pretty hard to find now.

+1. Definitely interested to see how an expert does it.

Put up picks and a write up. I would like to see if there is any difference in how you do the fit . And compare it to how we are going to do it. Never know, we might even get some new ideas from the write up. Also as AP writes. Any write up to give people ideas is a good thing. Is it the 2lt engine .

yeah i'll be interested in seeing what you do - since i'm about to do it myself as well except i'm not using a front cut, just engine, adapter plate and a standalone ecu (prob microtech since i know them inside out)

The young bloke that owns the car took it home Wednesday so he can go to the beach Thursday. He is bringing it back next weekend so I can finish off his AC and just check things over.

I have got quite a few pics of teh install and am planning on starting on a write up on Sunday night.

Quick mover there OB!

Took me a year from getting the first bit to getting it running in the subi, so I guess you've got some time up on me

Dunno if or when I'll do another one. How do you go about getting a mod plate for that?

Can't wait for the write up, I gotta finish mine...

Cheers
