dirty old EGR ports

Been fiddling with an old EA81 manifold which came on my first Brumby, been sitting in the shed for years. I pull EGR valve off to clean out ports etc and any crap so not to allow crud into my rebuilt EA81. MATE, the tube from the exhaust pick up can thing CAKED SOLID and so too every mm of the manifold porting , dirty side and clean side. More work for me but glad I found it so I can get EGR to work right and know no crud is gonna screw my engine.

Definite food for thought when you swap engines and never consider cleaning intake manfifolds properly (coz you just wanna get things running again don't ya?)
