Roof racks

Post by theclick » Sun Jul 13, 2008 8:39 pm

Heya.

Does anyone in brissie have a key for standard L series roof racks (with the 2 bolts) that I could borrow via mail?

Also, does anyone know if these roof racks ware compatible with other cars, namely an N13 Pulsar?

Cheers

the key id guess is just a TORX Bit.

go to an auto parts store and buy yourself a cheap set.

Its like a normal hex, but it needs a hole in the middle as there is some sort of protection on it (ie they dont want people stealing the roof racks with easily available bits). I dont really want to drill out the middle of the bolt, but i spose it is an option

and I think I have the same 'Bit Kit' that Matatak is talking about and it was $2 from the 2Buck Shop and it has a bunch of allsorts in it.

I would send ya mine but it would be more in postage fees ;)

You can also snap the little pin out of the bolt fairly easily which allows you to use a standard torx bit. Not what I'd do but just another option :)
