Cabin/Pollen Air Filter

Hi all,

Need to replace for my Impreza MY06. Does anyone know where to get an after market or OEM in Sydney? The dealer wants $115 to replace it. The parts costs around $70 to do it myself.

If not, I'm thinking to get it from US.

Welcome to the forums Phenomena,

I'd probabily look at getting it done at the dealer - $70 for parts + $45 for labour... It'd probably be worth your while to do it that way unless you know exactly what your doing as not to cause any damage to your interior/surrounding parts.

$70 for parts sounds a little steep, but are they factory original units from the dealership or aftermarket jobs? I'd say that the factory original units would be a lot better at clearing dust and pollens from the incoming air to the cab.

Thanks for the info guys.
I just can't justify what the dealer charge.

It needs to be replaced every year. It's a 20 mins job and the after market sells around US$10-16. I think I'll get some from there.

If you're smart... Is to get 3rd party filters from other company, eg. Liberty EJ22's air filter is same as VN-VT Commodore air filter and can get them from Holden for $8.70, does the same job.

Wrong air filter i beleive Alpine Raven.

not the Engines Air filter the one that filters air to the Cabin.

Nah, I was saying as an example about the air filters. I am aware about the pollen filters - I am sure there is another car make that would be the same? - cant hurt to find out.
