miss in ej22 till warm

just did the heads on my ej22 and now for some reason i have a miss[like it bogging down] but only till it warms up and them it fine...cant seem to work it out..once warmed up i can up it and no problems.any ideas would be good....was thinking a spark lead or plug?

Coolant temp sensor for the ECU? (not the one for the dash)

they can cuase it to run crap when cold

oh ok...were is that?....couse when i take off cold it bogs and sounds off tune but after about 3 minuts of driving up comes up fine and goes like normal...well better then normal now with decked heads...its just a pain for the first bit of driving.

that would be around the back under the Intake manifold near the IACV.

there a single wire one which controls your dash and right next to that is a 2? wire one which will go to your ECU

i think they stick into that Heater line running frmo teh top hose under the manifold to back of engine sumwhere.

But i wuldnt be sure what your problem is. thats just the first thing which comes to my mind

ok..tried to get temp sensor wire off....would be easier to flap my wings and fly...they dont make it easy to get to....

sounds like my L turbo miss thought to be a lifter causing the problem - others say valve spring weak - yet to do anything about it

Weak valve springs don't cause a miss at idle or cold only.
If the spring was weak enough to miss, the engine would keep missing going up the rev range and probably drop a valve.

My ej 20g (turbo) had a miss when cold ended up tracing it back to a coilpack swap the components over eg leads, plugs etc see if i goes with it if it does you can narrow it down a lot faster.
So many optioins not enough time or money:confused:
