Help Knocking from ej?
Have a error code on the brumby (ej20) 2-2 which is knock sensor... only there after i washed the engine bay, so what i need to know is what the normal operating voltages of the knock sensor are... i've got around 0.025V ac at idle... this too high? no continuity across the sensor either... does water effect them? And there's no audible knocking coming from the engine...
ive seen a few different EJ engines sometimes throw the Knock sensor code for no reason after doing something to the engine, ie. washing or some kinda work without touching it.
then usually go away after awhile, if nothing is actually wrong
water shouldnt affect them either.

Wagon is no longer....

With a knock sensor code being spit it's probably gone into limp mode.
If water caused the problem then yeh, prolly spray with WD40. Reset the ECU to clear limp mode.
edit - btw see you tonight mate!
