flippin' hck that is all nice and clean. I hope you use genuine rocker cover gaskets, if not, and they are like my after market ones, they'll be leaking by 15,000km. Just a little harder to reseal when in my Brumby - s q u e e z e.
the cam detail is different to the way my cams have always come marked - all I ever got was lift - either 0.225" or 0.235" vales open either 16 or 20 degrees BTDC, close 56 or 60 oafter TDC depending on cam

The water pump, are you using an electric one?

Thanks for your interest nico. Its been a while since I've got my act together on this project. Been really busy with my house, work, women and other stuff with the wagon. But I have been slowly getting things together to progress this build. So advancement is coming soon. This build isn't just about show n shine, I do want the actual finer details of reliability and longevity to be realised.
Soon I will update this...

Steel stuff is chromed or powder coated. Ally is either ceramic coated or polished.Wow, all that chrome! Is it just polished aluminium or actually chromed pieces?
Yes I will be using a Dav!3s Cra1G EWP, to be located where the battery is/was. I will explain the head studs at some point! The water pump, are you using an electric one?

Thanks Jonno, yep genuine rocker cover seals. You have to be picky n choosy about where genuine or aftermarket seals etc are used.flippin' hck that is all nice and clean. Wow. I now see as to what extent your love for the 82's go. Unfortunately i will not be delving into anything remotely near what you have achieved. As an expression of interest what is your budget for the engine?

I really should update this thread. Busy with other pursuits.

Haha the love wont last forever when there are such newer (younger) hotter engines (and women) out there.Wow. I now see as to what extent your love for the 82's go.
$1700 which includes fanciful stuff like ceramic and polished finishes. I am well within that. It really isnt expensive to rebuild these if you do the disassembly and reassembly yourself. What is making this take longer and more $$ is my unwillingness to use the standard water pump and ECU. Quality aftermarket engine management aint cheap - unless of course you have a sponsorAs an expression of interest what is your budget for the engine?
