There are a few things in that list u have to watch out for.
One is there is a difference in the Ej alternator wiring to the old L set up.... If you do it wrong your battery will go flat every night or 2 (depending on battery size). Basically the EA's run off a constant feed and the EJ's need an ignition feed.
Air intake is important.... if your not using the factory EJ one then u have to be very carefull with pipe placement.... one hose on the wrong side of the MAF sensor and the car wont retain idle.
It's an L series... didn't know u had to do anything with the return line except attach the pipe... Also (i could be wrong) but are u running the fuel pumps in series so that the lower pump sorta attempts to feed the high pressure pump with no surge tank??
I don't think that will work... the high pressure pump will also have more fuel flow than the EA pump... i belive this would be worse than only running it off the high pressure pump. Suba had a surge tank for sale a while back... maybe he still has it.
Exhaust gaskets... i had the same problem... could only find one... ended up using exhaust goo on one and a gasket on the other.... gasket lasted a few months. Goo lasted till i dropped the exhaust to replace the gasket on the other side.... I only goo mine now... exhaust gaskets i feel are a waste of time and money. Tim knows a good goo.
Accelerator can be tricky... trick is to have a good look at it and do it correctly the first time.
Finally... when you take the misses out... buy her flowers too... works every time.

I'm not running a surge tank and I don't have a drama unless the tank is REAL empty.
Your EJ should have "fuel" 3 pipes to the engine: one for fuel feed, one for return and one for vapour. Feed and return is as per L-series - be sure to use EFI lines on the discharge side of the pump though. People say you should upgrade all steel lines to L-series EFI ones (they're larger diameter apparently) but I didn't and I've had no dramas.
Vapour system is easy to work out if you use a two-port Charcoal Cannister from an early Toyota Camry or something. Can't remember exactly how I did it now but I know it was a cynch.

Monster Subaru sold to a good home!! Still a Subaru owner. Will try stay in the Ausubaru loop. Sorry

I used then EJ canister on mine... but any Canister as Mudrat said... with 2 inlets will do.
