Leone Coupe Pricing
Leone Coupe Pricing
Hey guys,
Bit of a vague question as I don't know the details or condition myself. How much would you say a Leone Coupe is worth with no rego? Paint looks good, interior looks good. Haven't heard it running or looked under the bonnet yet.
What areas should I be looking at with the coupes too? ie rust, faults etc
Just a rough price range would be good. Also, are there many of them around? I haven't seen many apart from tim_81coupes and kwijimbo's 13 powered one.
Cheers,
Tim

Look at the rear window right hand side lower part of frame for rust, even if its only spotting. same with above the right hand rear indicator.
it rusts around theses spots more than anywhere else.
The window is because the drain tubes in the lower window sill are blocked and then the water runs down the seam towards the filler then on to the right rear indicator.
It is a major problem if not fixed early.
Check both of the rear passenger windows for the vertical window seal.
Theses are $80 each if you buy factory or $20 each if you get from the U.S.
The 2wd 5spd is a geat box for highway use but the 2gear syncro is usually dodgy.
Dont go over $500 if theres rust in theses spots or those seals are broken.
Everthing else in the car in standard subi fixable.
Cheers Pete

Ok, went and had a look at the car a bit more today.
Rust in all places mentioned. Bubbling on the paint at bottom of windscreen and a little at the top.
Vertical seal on driver's side is knackered so much that it doesn't exist, I can imagine rain wouldn't have a problem getting in there.
Engine has a bit of trouble starting and choke doesn't seem to work. Dash is in imaculate condition however and all digital readouts are fine.
Has electric windows that work fine, as well as power steering and air-con.
There is also a major paint crack on the passenger side door. ie not even a touch up will fix it, it a CRACK!
I think I'll pass on it, however if anyone else is interested it's at Pick, Pay n Go in Ringwood, VIC.
