OK, so I have a new 3 wire one now, two white wires and a black, can I assume the black is for the signal and the other two are for the heater so it doesn't matter which was around do they go? In any case, what wires do I connect to the loom? I have a Black/white, and white and a Yellow/Red (which I think goes to +12V from the wiring diagrams I've seen).

OK, so I've tested mine, and I only get +12V from the yellow/red on the loom, the white seems to give a very small voltage, and I get nothing from the black/white. I was under the impression that the white was the signal wire but now I'm stumped. I was told that for a 3 wire sensor in the Liberty there should be 2 loom wires giving around 12V, and the other is the sensor?

Where did you measure the 5V from the white one? At the A6 ECU connector or at the connector near the gearbox? My understanding is that the maximum it should be is 0.9V?Matatak wrote:i tested mine to.
White - 5V
Black/white - 0V and is the ground (continuity with ground)
Yellow/Red - 12V ie the Igntion/heater wire.
