I've got a fuel pump (thanks for the loaner Brenny) and a replacement gearbox (thanks Cam) for WackyBug now. Just need a few hours to stick them in and I should be right for Saturday.

Rain oh no!
Wackybug kind of still has a partial roof but no doors, panels, windscreen or bonnet...
Looks like I'll be brining a waterproof bag with towels, a heavy duty rain jacket and a few cans of WD40!

hmm maybe tek screw some sheet of metal over the top of wackbug as a makeshift bonnet? a couple more bits or razor sharp metal arent gonna hurt much. unless it cuts you of course :s
