Not laggy at all as we have keep the FMIC piping down to 2". You would be surprised to know that this is actually shorter run than most WRX's with FMIC as the fact no A/C allows great room for pipework..

What a hassles this was. I had a set of high flowed STI V6 injectors. So we have modified a set of rails from a 01 model to fit. I think the coils are H486 but I will have to check. Had them laying around the garage so they come in handy.

After a near miss with a broken front coilover I fitted new ISC coilovers yesterday and they ride really nice. Went for the softess spring rate of 4kg and currently on the softess shock setting.

Pic's below:

Booked in this week to have the rear splines changed to reduce the ride height.

Hey Brownster like your ute, have you got any more footage of this thing on the track or skidpan. Remember seeing a short vid somewhere.

Will have some more soon. We have a Bathurst rally weekend coming up with the WRX club so will have heaps of footage from that + I think a weekend at Wakefield as well..

Hey mate, nice setup, i'm doing the exact same thing to my brumby at the moment. were you able to just purchase the front coil overs on their own (I assume they are WRX items), if so do you mind if I ask what they cost you and where you got them from? (PM me if you like). I just finished fitting the wrx struts out of the half cut I have (in the 500oby thread in this section) but i'm having trouble with them fouling the strut tower wall, so I need to get some thinner coilovers like you have, as the ones out of the half cut are full size (diameter) ones. Cheers

Only 2 companies in Australia I could find that sell just the fronts. ISC and I will have to check the other. I have gone the ISC - cost was $820 delivered with a 4kg front spring rate. Still slighty hard for my liking. A few of the other guys mentioned that you can go a modified WRX spring (Crossbred sell this) which will fix the fowling issue you are having. I can also get Tiens for around $900 delivered if you want. They take 4 weeks from time of ordering.

Also. They are just Gc8 WRX coilovers. Bolt straight in assuming the holes have been done for a 3 hole strut top...

I think the only way to make make the standard WRX struts work is to run L series control arms in your brumby( gives you a wider wheel track), Im running the crossbred brake kit and i am using HSD coilovers (would strongly recomend going with coilovers, any brand), if you want to upgrade to five stud brakes.
I've been running the crossbred brake kit for two years now and think its the best upgrade, but once i get my brumby on the track i will go for the L series arms to get a wider wheel track in the front end.
Sorry for the highjack

Cheers chridk

lol, yeah mate, that's what i've done, fitted a crossbred kit, but the standard wrx struts are quite large at the top end, whilst they fit, they bind when the wheel is turned, plus they are no doubt too firm for the brumby, so i'd like to get new ones with a softer spring rate. Sorry to get off topic brownster, once again, nice ride :D

Just had some Tomei headers fitted today. Has certainly changed the note and also the power response thru the rev range. Will be interesting once its tuned to see the final power figure...

Here are some pictures.... Next stop I need to get it painted.....
