Speedo cable

Post by Brownster » Tue Apr 15, 2008 7:01 am

My speedo has stopped workiing this morning. Just wondering from everyones experience with a WRX converted Brumby whats the best way to obtain a new one and would it be a modified one with a WRX gearbox end to a Brumby dash fitting...

Any info much appreciated.

Was the speedo from WRX or Brumby's original one?
Cheers

Most likely you have a Brumby dash cluster and a WRX gearbox. You probably still just have the original Brumby speedo cable.
It could have snapped somewhere along the line (this occasionally happens), or possibly it's just fallen out of the back of the dash.
Check if it's fallen out, if it hasn't remove the speedo cable and turn the gearbox end of it - see if it turns at the other end. If it doesn't then it's snapped.
Just get a replacement speedo cable and you should be right.

Thanks heaps for the replies guys. It is a WRX gearbox to an original Brumby dash. Havent had time to check the actual cable. Will be doing that Thursday...
