Stuck cylinder head ea82

Post by scrumpy » Tue Feb 19, 2008 6:22 pm

Hi guys, bought a wreck to get a spare engine to rebuild. Started stripping engine tonite and one cyl head bolt was seized solid. Out comes the big bar , snap goes the bolt!!! Anyway with all the rest out the head refuses to budge, of course I cant prise them apart for fear of damage. Any suggestions gratefully accepted!!

Soak the hole in WD over night that should free it up. Other wise you could tap around the area lightly hoping to unjam the dust.

Thanx for the suggestion, have given it a few good belts with large rubber hammer with no success, will try soaking tomorrow.
